This January, you are invited to participate in a season of prayer and fasting; a spiritual journey that will set the tone for our effectiveness throughout the year. We are calling this spiritual campaign:

Awakening: 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Many of you have already established times of prayer and fasting in your life and have experienced the powerful impact it has had. As a church, we have seen increased salvations, breakthroughs and miracles as we chose to put God first at the onset of the year. This year, we are uniting with several other churches to pray and fast together, aligning ourselves with the power and favor of God. Just imagine what can happen if the Body of Christ unites behind this purpose that is so close to the heart of God. What a powerful way to start off the year. If you have a desire to pray and fast, this is a great way to do it.

The fast begins Sunday, January 11th and ends Saturday, January 31st.

FOCUS:

The fast is a spiritual discipline designed to better connect us with God. As a church, we are fasting to prepare our hearts for what God is going to do, and to stretch our faith to believe Him for big miracles. The best way to do this is to redirect our food source. This is accomplished through substituting our regular food intake with Bible reading, praying, and journaling. The overall goal is to experience a genuine hunger for spending time with God and to grow our faith in what God can do!

MENU:

The Daniel’s Fast is a partial fast, which means that we will eliminate some common things from our daily diet, but will have generous options available. We will focus on eating fruits and vegetables that are pure and simple. We have included a list of foods to eat and goods to avoid.

If you have any condition which would prohibit you from being a part of the Daniel Fast, there are other options. Choose something from your daily routine (i.e. specific foods or beverages, television, other technology, etc.) and fast in that manner for the 21 days. Remember, the details are not as important as the spirit in which you participate.

*If you have any known medical conditions or suspect such conditions, consult your doctor before beginning the fast.

FAST FORWARD:

God is certain to bless your life in new and exciting ways during the fast. We encourage you to write down your prayers and the many ways God reveals Himself to you. Praise Him for the relationship you have with Him and the work He is doing in your life.

Delray on Fire with Tom Scarrella

On November 7, Tom Scarrella is going to minister at The Mission.

Tom and Susie Scarrella travel world-wide ministering in conferences, Bible schools, churches, and crusades, as well producing their weekly television program, All for the Kingdom. They minister with a strong emphasis on Revival, Passion, and the Power of God.

Tom operates in a stong healing and pophetic anointing. If you are sick in body or simply need a refreshing, you do not want to miss this service.

Tom and Susie will be with us for only one night.  Do whatever you can to attend this one time event.
