Connection Groups – New Semester
The new semester of connection groups is about to begin the first week of February.
Mission Kids 5th Sunday
Your children probably know that next Sunday is Fifth Sunday at Mission Kids. Every fifth Sunday, Mission Kids throws a party with candy, a bounce house, and wonderful workers of Mission Kids.
This is a great reason to bring the kids from the neighborhood to check out The Mission.
Special Guest Speaker – Pastor Melissa Pierce
Pastor Melissa Pierce, from Generation Church , in Jupiter, Florida, will be with the Mission family, January 16th. Come join us next Sunday, as we receive Pastor Melissa, for an awesome time in the Word of God.
Pastor Melissa along with her husband planted Generation Church three years ago to be a relevant, life giving church. Melissa studied at World Changers Bible Inst. in Nashville, Tn. as well as Virginia Commonwealth Univ. in Richmond, Va. where she studied Finance.
Generation Church moved into it’s first building within the first 18 months of launching the ministry, and continues to see God move in amazing ways to establish the vision & mission that He gave Ben & Melissa.

Special Christmas Offering
This Sunday at the end of service we are collecting a special Christmas offering. If you were in service this past week you heard me talk about it. Here are some of the specific things your offering will support:
- Medical care for mothers and babies in developing countries through Compassion International’s Child Survival Program. 10,000 newborns and 1,500 mothers die every day due to preventable complications and Compassion is addressing this problem.
- Upgraded facilities for our Sunday morning service. We have needs in children’s ministry and worship.
- Missions. We want to sow into people who are going and spreading the Gospel throughout the world.
We want to be able to say we gave Jesus our best gift this year. Join in and sow into what God is doing here and around the world.
The Mission Awakening 2011
Awakening is a 21 day season of prayer and fasting that takes place at the beginning of each year. As we approach 2011 we want to invite you to make plans now to participate January 10th-30th, 2011.
As a church, we have seen increased salvations, breakthroughs and miracles as we chose to put God first at the onset of the year. This year, we are uniting with several other churches to pray and fast together, aligning ourselves with the power and favor of God. Just imagine what can happen if the Body of Christ unites behind this purpose that is so close to the heart of God. What a powerful way to start off the year. If you have a desire to pray and fast, this is a great way to do it.
